The focus of my life and career has always been about pursuing health in a way that is real and practical, and helping others build effective practices for self-care. What began as a focus on physical health as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist has expanded to include equal focus on mental and social-emotional health. I have undergraduate and graduate degrees in Exercise Science as well as a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Certified Health Coach. My 20+ year career includes numerous roles and experiences that have allowed me to continuously grow my knowledge and skills in effectively supporting client’s wellbeing by working in clinical, research, academic, and community settings.
If you want to experience your healthiest self – physically and mentally, and move through the world with more vitality, balance and joy, I can help. I specialize in helping my clients learn about and understand themselves and find more peace.
My Specialties Include:
My approach focuses on integrating the physical, mental and social/emotional aspects of health through science-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Social Emotional Learning, Mindfulness-Based Practices, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Healthy Habit Building.
My current personal interests include good music - preferably strummy guitars with think-y lyrics, climbing all of the 4,000 footers in New England with my 14-year-old son (there’s a list!), craft beer, being in the woods or near the ocean - especially with my two dogs, spending time with friends and family and surviving teaching my 16-year-old to drive.
