Ilana Blatt-Eisengart, Ph.D.

Clinical Psychologist licensed in MA and NH

I have always enjoyed working with children and teens, and have worked with kids since I was a kid, as a babysitter, camp counselor, tutor, and religious school teacher.  In 2009, I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Temple University, with a specialization in Developmental Psychopathology. As a child and adolescent psychologist, I have built extensive experience treating a variety of concerns in kids and teens of all ages, from preschool to college.  My training included work in inpatient and outpatient hospital settings and clinics.  Since becoming licensed, I have continued to refine my skills by working in private practice for the past 10+ years.

My Specialties Include:

  • Neuropsychological Evaluation and Evaluations for Dyslexia and Learning Disabilities
  • Anxiety disorders (including generalized anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, OCD, and selective mutism),
  • Depression
  • Parenting strategies to support children with ADHD
  • Solutions and support for school-related difficulties
  • Issues of gender identity and sexuality

I specialize in providing evidence-based psychotherapy, meaning that the approaches I use have been tested and backed by science.  I often use a cognitive-behavioral approach (CBT) to build skills to manage difficult thoughts and behaviors.  I also frequently use an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approach, which emphasizes increasing psychological flexibility.

Psychotherapy research tells us that the relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important factors in making therapy work. Therefore, an important part of my approach is to tailor my work to fit each client’s unique and specific needs.  I consider myself to be a partner to my clients and their parents and encourage my clients to share thoughts and feedback so that the treatment fits your goals and needs.

My goal is to help you meet YOUR goals and to help each client learn the skills that they need to manage struggles or stressors that they are experiencing and move towards the life that they wish for themselves.
