I am passionate about helping others help themselves. I think of counseling as teamwork, collaborating with you to help achieve your goals. Since graduating with a master’s degree in social work from Salem State University in 2020, I have had the opportunity to work with people from all different backgrounds and enjoy working with people of all ages, and from all walks of life.
I have enjoyed learning to support people through a variety of challenging situations, for example, people in recovery from substance abuse, victims of domestic violence, young mothers, mothers experiencing postpartum depression/anxiety, teens struggling with bullying, depression and/or anxiety, and people with body image concerns.
Specialties:
- Therapy across the lifespan from adolescence through adulthood
- Maternal Mental Health, including Parenting Support, Caregiver Burnout, and treatment of Postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs)
- Substance Abuse Issues
- Treatment for Depression and Anxiety
- Domestic Violence/Relationship Issues
- Christian Counseling (upon request)
I believe that each person is unique and therefore requires an individualized approach when it comes to therapy. Some of the approaches that I use include:
- Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Strengths-based, Person-Centered Approach
- Motivational Interviewing
- Narrative Therapy
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Mindfulness Strategies
- Family Systems Approach
I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!
